The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer with a versatile background in technology, sales and client services to join our growing team. Through a dynamic combination of consulting, technical advisory, sales development and venture, the Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in VentureDevs’ success. This position has a vast amount of exposure to companies of all industries and stages, and works closely alongside entrepreneurs, startups, and major enterprises across the globe.

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for presenting VentureDevs’ product and service offerings in the best light to prospective clients, invoking confidence in our abilities and removing all technical objections within the sales process. To successfully facilitate new business, the Solutions Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and sales skills, including the ability to develop a technical sales strategy, and deliver solutions that effectively address client needs and provide business value.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct calls with sales-qualified leads to identify their technical needs, while continuing to establish VentureDevs’ services as the best solution to achieve goals and tackle challenges
  • Estimate client competencies and bandwidth, and the timeline required for a given project
  • Assess potential risks and opportunities associated with a project, and determine the best solution for those risks
  • Build and deliver value-based presentations, spreadsheets and proposals within the client’s budget that include project timeline, team structure, implementation details, risks and opportunities, and any other materials that highlight VentureDevs’ product and solution offerings
  • Work in tandem with the sales and tech teams to successfully close new deals

We expect you to have:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant technical experience in development, programming or architecture
  • A background in business development, customer success or consulting
  • A thorough understanding of B2B sales and the product development process
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to identify client needs and technical solutions
  • A client- and sales-oriented mindset: highly professional presentation skills and drive to close new business, with a strong focus on client needs and objectives
  • Ability to take a high-level, big-picture approach to building rough estimates
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to design on-brand and high-taste client presentations and materials
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to evaluate and balance competing priorities
  • Open, collaborative, and communicative work style
  • Technical product and process experience are a plus
