Our customized technology solutions have led to four successful exits and helped raise $750mm+ in VC funding. We are looking for a proactive self-starter with a versatile sales background within technology and services. In this role you will generate new business through a variety of sales tactics, which may range from direct outbound prospecting to developing meaningful relationships with strategic partners such as VCs, Private Equity Firms, and Service Providers. In addition, you will own the entire sales process, working with members of our technical team to generate proposals that best solve our prospects’ core challenges

The role: 

We are looking for a proactive self-starter with a versatile sales background within technology and services. In this role you will generate new business through a variety of sales tactics, which may range from direct outbound prospecting to developing meaningful relationships with strategic partners such as VCs, Private Equity Firms, and Service Providers. In addition, you will own the entire sales process, working with members of our technical team to generate proposals that best solve our prospects’ core challenges.

Main responsibilities:

  • Own the sales cycle from outbound lead generation to close
  • Actively seek out and build relationships with new clients and strategic partners
  • Attend conferences and events, host dinners, lunches, etc. to develop new opportunities and nurture partnerships
  • Build meaningful relationships with partners who can help us and who you can help in return
  • Qualify client opportunities and identify their key business objectives and challenges
  • Work with the tech solutions team to drive opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Manage an accurate forecast
  • Consistently and accurately update the CRM
  • Create follow-up and re-capture campaigns to ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks
  • Strategize cross-functionally with teams across the company to continuously align initiatives
  • Some travel between SF, LA, and NYC (depending on where you are based) would be required

We expect you to have:

  • 3-5 years direct experience in a sales engineer, technical consultant or equivalent role
  • Strong leadership skills to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process
  • Experience creating detailed technical proposals
  • The ability to earn the trust of clients while helping them with their challenges
  • Excellent presentation skills whether in-person, on the phone or via video conferencing
  • High-level understanding of the digital product development process
  • Past experience working on or with product and development teams
  • The ability to effectively convey technical concepts to C-suite individuals
  • A proven track record selling complex technical solutions
  • Good knowledge of CRM and other sales automation software
  • Existing connections in the NYC tech ecosystem
  • Great work ethic with unwavering persistence and determination
  • Past experience working with remote teams is a plus
