Business Development Associate

We are a diverse team of creative collaborators with ambitious growth goals (we more than tripled our growth this year alone) and are searching for a passionate Business Development Associate to join the LA squad. If you are a perfect blend of technology and business you'll be at home in this role. We aren't a standard "sales team" and as a result you will have the opportunity to put your research, strategy, and communication skills to work as you utilize technology to create unique approaches to outbound lead generation and conversion. This role has huge growth potential as you will support the biz dev team at every point in the sales process, learning best practices along the way. We are seeking someone who, like us, values quality over quantity and sees meaningful relationships as a driving force behind business success.

This position is primarily remote, but we meet twice weekly to collaborate, strategize, create, and of course, eat good food!

Main responsibilities:

  • Effectively researching, identifying, and prospecting for new clients
  • Performing sales operations and accurately managing and maintaining the CRM system
  • Passing qualified leads to Business Development Managers
  • Assisting Business Development Managers with call preparation and follow ups
  • Using qualitative and quantitative approaches to develop insights about our partnerships and opportunities
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with business development, marketing, and customer success to build new strategies
  • Designing, testing, and implementing drip campaigns and other forms of automation to support the sales process
  • Helping convert inbound leads generated from marketing efforts
  • Researching B2B market trends and opportunities


  • 1+ years related business development or sales support experience
  • Organized and detail oriented with superb task management (and multi-tasking) skills
  • Great work ethic with unwavering persistence and determination
  • Ability to learn quickly with the desire to make an immediate impact
  • Extremely tech-savvy with prior experience using CRM software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to produce detailed research and well-written documentation easily
  • Equal parts creative to analytical
  • Self-starter but motivated by team, not simply individual, success
  • Experience with market research preferred
  • Existing interest in modern technology with the desire to learn more
